That steering wheel looks pimp :smokin:. Just my .02 but I liked it in the black better. Still overall totally badass!
Thanks all. It has been a really fun project. I definitly liked the black too. The problem was that I made the decision to line -x it and line-x in black looked more like charcol becasue of the reflection off the bumpy coating. I've also always like blue and don't see as many blue jeeps as black ones.

One of my few remaining projects now will be to get a new windshield. Only becasue I ddin't protect it while welding so there are a lot of specks all over it where the weld sparks melted into it......... Live and learn. :)

Just saw the latest update. Figured I should subscribe so I'm not months late after you do something amazing.
Thanks. It was such a fun project I keep thinking I need to do a similar 4 door version. It wouldn't be exactly the same but somethign that would be a little out of the ordinary. I guess the jeep Easter ride is coming up and with that always come some neew concepts from Jeep. Maybe that will give me some other ideas????

What year and model srt is that steering wheel from srt8 grand Cherokee?
The Steering wheel is actually off of a 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8. But it is the same as the Grand Cherokee, Chystler 300, and Charger SRT8 steering wheels. I think they all have different part numbers with some different features but basically they are all the same. I was easily able to change out the front right and left switches with the switches from my original steering wheel. I did have to rewire the radio control switches on the back of the steering wheel because those had a different connector. This steering wheel was also off of an automatic so it has the paddle shifters. I left them on but they don't do anything. It also is a heated steering wheel but I could not figure a way to hook that to a switch since all the electronics on the wheel go through the main computer.

Was able to get out to Jeeptoberfest out side Ocala, FL this weekend. Here are a few pics.

Got out to Judd's Jeep Fest a few weeks ago with a few friends. It was a good time! Trail rides were great but a lot of mud. Thought I'd post a pic.

I'm starting to look at 4 doors now so if I find one soon it will be another fun build.

Funny,
I was at the parts store today and one of the guys there shows me an Instagram posting of my Jeep. I don't even use instagram but it looked like pictures taken off this thread. Kind of a fun thing to see.

Congratulations look very nice. I have 2007jku Sahara. I would like swap the steering wheel. I know I can’t used the volume control, also cruiser. But I would like to know if the airbag and horn is plug and play or involved a lot modification

Thanks
