Installed the Pioneer AVIC-5200NEX and sold the 430RBZ...

Took it to the dealership on Monday thinking I had a clock Spring warranty issue and was told it's actually the Vehicle Dynamics Module (or whatever the correct term is) (NOT under warranty). Great. Told them to hold off until I'm prepared for a $450 repair and brought it home.

Then this morning I got the P0302 DTC. I have a call in to the dealer to see how they want to handle it, but I'm seeing a new cylinder head in my future. At least THAT will be warrantied. One of these days I'll finally get around to installing the Spyntec hubs, RCV shafts, and Racelines I've had sitting in my garage for over 6 months now. As Rosanne Rosanadana said, "it's always somethin'."

Will have to check compartability year wise but pretty sure I have one of those VDM in the garage....

@BlueBomber I am having mine done with the spray in bed liner material, thinking that crinkle look will have a nice affect and also be pretty chip resistant

Ripped off all of my old fenders (that the original owner cut up) in preparation to install my new PS fenders. So far got the fronts all lined up and fit correctly. Haven't gotten around to the rears yet. Currently trying to decide if I want to powder coat them clear, color match them to the jeep (Deep blue), or powder coat them black. Any thoughts? They're currently bare steel

Thanks, but I think they have to be mated to the vehicle with a reflash, otherwise, I'd be happy to do it myself.

In other news: the dealer told me to just go ahead and clear the P0302 code and see if it came back. From what everyone says, I understand that it will eventually, but at least so far so good. They documented the information in my file, and the service writer I spoke to said if it happens again to bring it in. I think they'll skip the reflash procedure if/when it takes a notion to do it again, and go straight to the head replacement since I called this in. He really seems like a standup guy, and has treated me well so far. That's pretty rare these days.

So today I just drove it. Not a bad thing to do with a Jeep.

Put a sticker on my brow. I've been decal free for quite awhile so this is a big deal to me lol. If anyone deserves a place on my jeep, it's RCO.
