Purchased a Wild Boar Fast Back Top (w/o sunroof) for my 2009 JK Unlimited Rubicon. It is a water leaking POS. I would not recommend this product. All four footwells and rear cargo area carpets completely soaked after a rain. Attempted to fix with weather stripping but no luck.

I've been meaning to find time to post a review myself... I've had the same experience. Chris told me he was going to send some rubber door surrounds that are a known fix to the problem... but haven't seen them after 3 weeks... My solution? Black silicone on all the leaking spots... which may eat the rubber weather stripping, but I had to have the top sealed. If I take the thing off (which I'm sure I'll want to... and then try to talk myself out of it) I'll have to reseal the whole dang thing.

For those that care, the places that it leaks, most prominently are at the corners of the windshield frame (Like a waterfall) and from the 2 holes in the top that they drilled all the way through it to use as mounting positions (with PLASTIC grommets... I could've told you this was gonna leak.)

Love the looks, but it's honest to goodness not worth the price. The fit on the corners leaves a lot to be desired.

The main reason I'm keeping this thing is that it's the second one I ordered. The first one came in and didn't fit AT ALL. Like, none of the dimensions were correct. Sent that back, got a refund (less shipping...) and bought a soft top. I called Wild Boar up this time and they assured me all their problems were fixed, so I took a chance. It was going to take 2 weeks to get here (ended up being 4.5 weeks...) and as stated, leaked like crazy when it did arrive. I called Chris about it, and his initial response was "Well your Jeep must've been in a wreck before, that's why it doesn't fit properly." (after letting him know that I've driven my Jeep since mile 7... he told me about the rubber door surrounds that I haven't seen yet [3 weeks, approximately])

This is a jumbled mess of a post, but I was about to hit the hay when I read this. If you can't understand, I'll try to make more sense of it tomorrow. I also have pics on my phone of the massive amounts of water pouring in from the windshield corners. If I remember, I'll post them up tomorrow as well.

should have gotten the T-Tops. there is a 1 inch lip around the panels. no leaks and going on a year and half installed. one of my favorite mods and give "CAIN" the "look"

The hard top looks awesome and I was seriously considering it, but with that price, leaks and no support definitely gets it off my christmas list!

I have their 2 door top on my jeep. I don't have the extra hold downs holes like the four door has. I would add a rubber washer to those holes, should take care of that leak. I would definitely give Chris or Deb a call, they have always been good to help with questions and concerns. Here is a pic of where I installed the molding along the front door seal. I hope this helps! No leaks for me BTW.

i head that the T-top venisons where the ones that had the most problems with leaks.. but hopefully they have taken care of that because they are a nice looking top as long as they dont leak ...i wanted to get one but i was waiting to make sure they were good to go with no leaks.

Sorry to hear your having problems. I have had the one piece fastback top on my unlimited for almost two years now, have never had a leak, a little wind inside, I took care of that by tighting the inside two bolts on the driver and passenger side rollbars. Chris always seems to be going a million different directions, but he's always come thru for me.

I would imagine the T-Top would be a better fit at the points where the 1-piece tops have issues. I'd imagine that tightening it down would allow a little more flex, since there are seams in it. The one piece is just too danged rigid to conform to the proper shape. It's good to hear it's so well sealed, that probably would've been the way to go. I was just worried that over time, more seals would mean more maintenance. That was before I got mine and had to silicone it to keep weather out... lol. Ah well, hindsight's 20/20.

Here's more info on my leaking top:
First of all there is a 3/8" gap between the top's clamps that engage the windshield's u-brackets. Chris's solution...install shims.
Secondly the top leaks around the doors like a spigot. Chris's solution...get some weather stripping and see if that helps.
Finally...I paid top dollar for this top and it sucks! Give Chris a call and he is huffing and puffing like he doesn't have time to really deal with you. And why should I have to deal with this crap?

the T-Top does have "rain gutters"

Do not buy from this company

I purchased a fastback hardtop for my 2007 2-door in August and it arrived damaged. The owner of Wild Boar, Chris Duncan, assured me the top will be replaced. After four months and a trail of phone calls and emails, I am nowhere close to resolution. He has admitted that he continues to have quality and shipping damage issues. He also has expressed that his company is in financial trouble and has asked me to be patient as he tries to resolve the problem. The design of this product is attractive, but please be careful as his Customer Service is awful and the stability of Wild Boar Products appears to be very weak.

I also have the Wildboar top, but I the got the one piece design, and love it.
It fits well and I have had zero issues with it, thank goodness. With that being said I too would be more than a little upset if I had purchased it and had all these problems with basically zero customer service.
That sucks and I hope you get it resolved.

Four door fastback

I bought one of the first 4 door fastback t tops and it leaked badly. At the corners of the doors and and rear window. My advice to anyone buying is to buy from a dealer so that you have a company to go back to with your problems (a real company, his dealer in Houston was an individual that sold them on the side.... No help what so ever ) . When screaming lizard did my hemi conversion they fixed the leaks as they are a dealer. I love the look and the top but expect some problems. Also if I was to buy one I would get sunroof version as the t top are big and a pain to store when taken off.

Leaks

I had my WB FB Top shipped from USA to here in Oz. Arrived fine. First rain yesterday and man it pisses in water from front passenger and drivers upper edges.

Lots of discussion here but does anyone have real close pics of the seals in these spots if their top doesn't leak.

Also on the two door I assume that there is no pull down from the top to the windscreen bar (as is the case with the stock JK HT)

T- top version leaks

As well. Ordered mine back in 08 and it has leaked ever since. Talked to Chris several times ..... Useless to say the least. Great looking product horrible customer service and support. If you want one I would suggest you go through a good dealer NOT directly through him. Do not use Houston Texas dealer as he is useless as well. Also, if you have one invest in a dehumidifier !

Houston - Can u describe or send photo of what Screaming Lizard did to correct the floods?
We have an early version of the JKU 4 Door T-Top that leaks like a sieve. Wild Boar said we need to shave down the front corners of the panels to less than 1/2" thick. Hoping to receive confirmation of where I believe the mod needs to occur but doubt I will receive a reply from them.
Was also told 1st versions did not have a gutter on the T section directing water past the rear door and we would need to perform some fiberglass work mods to add these gutters. Was promised some photos of what the gutters should look like but again WAITING for some simple photos.
