I want to change my hood decals to something custom but match the factory look. Does anyone know what the font is for the factory "RUBICON" hood decal?
I make decals and have the design for it. My page in Facebook is Merced Racing Decals. Look in my photos and search for albums. In the albums section look for the J album. There you will find 3 separate folders for Jeeps. I ship and accept paypall.

So you’re going to get a JKO Vendor Yellow Star?

RUBI ILLUSTRATOR FILE PLEASE :)

I used to have this file from: Jp-Trails/files/ (now deleted) But, was on a hard drive that failed. Any chance someone could send to smaharATcox.net ? Thanks!

Is this the font you are looking for for the 2 tone deluxe Rubicon decal or the standard Rubicon decal. This is a slightly modified Lily UPC font.

It's been covered to death on countless Jeep forums. There is no identical font. The hood logo is most likely derived from line art born from the original Type 1 ITC Eras Bold typeface, which is no longer compatible with modern vector image / prepress apps (If anyone ever wants to talk about printing over a beer, I'm up for it).

There are TrueType / OpenType clones of the original, however, they have a bit of oblique-ness (I forget what they call a slight angle). The angle and kerning can be adjusted in some prepress apps. Just google for ITC Eras Bold and you will immediately see how the current fonts are 90% of what you are looking for and can be tweaked to match.

Long story short, you can pay this former forum vendor $30 to make you a set of decals.
