Installed the Tuffy Security Deck that didn't work with my hardtop. Works okay with my soft top, though the tailgate is a little hard to close (I can only imagine how hard it would be to close if I hadn't chopped a quarter inch of the Tuffy off to make room between my roll bar and tailgate due to the fatter plastics on the 2011-2012).

My Shrockworks rock sliders arrived Wednesday, they were in bare metal so I primed them that night and painted them yesterday. I'll install them tomorrow.

I might not be ready for little sluice, but I'm going for not needing any rocks stacked, unlike someone did on the postpile ....
You forget who got thru most of it in 2 minutes that took others 30 minutes :)

Tux, that is sad when you spend that much money and have to shave a chunk off to work ;( did you call them?

I haven't bought an aftermarket anything yet for my Jeep that didn't require at least a bang with a hammer or a hole elongated or some other small modification. I just sort of expect that I'll have to do slight tweaks to anything I buy for my Jeep, which appears to not be the same as any other Jeep that has ever existed on the face of this planet (regardless of which Jeep I happen to own at a given time, heh). You might remember that slim minimalist rear bumper I had on my LJ, and the tow hooks I had attached to it. That was a lot of drilling and grinding to get those tow hooks on, because the holes were slightly off and there was a ridge on the tow hooks that interfered with the mount that I had to grind off. It's a Jeep thing, I guess :dunno:.

I was more annoyed that it wouldn't work at all with the hard top, due to the thickness of the hard top moving the brackets. But I really didn't need the security deck with the hard top on, so (shrug). But now that I have the soft top on, well.

And the Shrocks are on. As usual, had to do a little grinding to make it fit :cwm13: , in this case on the front passenger bracket where the frame was too thick for the bottom bolt to go in thus I had to extend the hole slightly towards the center of the Jeep to match the hole in the bottom of the frame. Also had to use the spacer on the driver's side back (passenger side back was fine) which was baffling me for a while why that wasn't fitting, because the spacers aren't mentioned at all in the directions for the 2 door. All in all, a typical annoying Jeep accessory install, where "bolt-on" means "after you do some grinding and/or cutting and/or re-writing of the directions to make it fit" :flipoff:. But not as annoying as some, easy enough to figure out.

Plan on 35's now you will regret getting 33's. I have bought 4 sets of tires in two years because of this. Even now really regretting getting 35's and planning on 37's. It is ridiculous! And KM2 35's are just a tad bigger that 33's. ;).

I managed to finally get me visors back in and button up the windshield brackets and trim. Pic are in the modified section.
