Just picked up a front Aussie locker for $200! Hopefully it will be here for install this weekend.

Love mine...tight turns are kinda pia and it scares the hell outa you at first but the traction offroad is worth it IMO

Give me the lowdown on what to expect. I have always had selectables, this is my first auto locker up front.

Well ive had it about 3 months..wheeled with it 3 times..

offroad it awsome does what any other locker will do...also because it unlocks with torque it is easy to get light into the gas and turn.

on the road you wont know it's there until you take a tight turn in a parking lot or culdasack...then youll :bounce::bounce: its a rather uncomfortable feeling...you mostly feel it in a full turn rather than a parking space were you might hear a small racheting..Also it can be difficult to unlock it going from 4wd to 2wd you need to get on the gas and get it unlocked...this can be dangerous IMO if you simply go 4wd to 2wd and dont get it unlocked first before jumping on the pavement..just remember torque unlocks it;) there is a bit of a learning curve to learning to drive with it...much like having a detriot..but because we dont have locking hubs the front has to be dealt with..

If your on a budget it's a great way to go...you really cant beat the price and the simplicity of the install..If i did it over again i probably would have gone with a selectable locker..in all honesty.... but untill i swap out the d30 its a great setup..just gotta learn it's quirks

Not mine, but we treated heepenjims ride to new PP Ball Joints and a new passenger side unit bearing and ABS Sensor.

Wobbles-no-more!
Thank you Scott, I have been missing in action for sometime. NOw I need to fix a few more things and hope to be on a trail soon after miss wheeling with you all. Nice to feel the jeep not want to go into DW.

I barely recognize my JK from just two months ago...

Finally got a front locker in, RK tie rod, steering stabilizer, and had a local shop fab up this grille guard:

Next mod... 37's. Then I think I'm done for a while. Maybe.
If you ever want to get rid of the half-doors, let me know. I might be interested.

I ordered it! :bounce:

Order goes into the system Monday. Let's see if it gets here to me in San Jose before December!

2012 Rubi Unlimited, Cherry Red, hardtop (matching, yeah I like a little bling :grinpimp:), faux leather.

Anyone interested in a 2000 TJ Sahara? Only 43k miles on her.
