Due to the awesome rain last night I got to test out all my provisions to allow my Jeep to sit around through rain storms without a full top.

I have found that folding the seats forward prevents them from getting wet as the front freedom panels do a kick ass job with that.

The safari net does a good job catching some of the rain but obviously not perfect.

Pulling the drains will dry the jeep out quick, especially on the freeway :D

The tuffy box in the back LOVES to collect water. I left it a quick reverse to full stop and no more water.

I did notice that the path of the tub is to move the water to the floor cubby in the trunk. so my first aid kit got a little wet. It is water-resistent so nothing inside was ruined. To remedy this I put weather stripping on the lid and this should solve that problem. I just hope the water will drain out the jack cubby or something.

The tuffy console did get a little wet on the arm rest towards the back. I think I could prevent some of this with something to wrap the sound bar with as there are some gaps, or instead of using my freedom panels get a bestop bikini top. Maybe a duster to prevent wind rain.

Overall. I am very happy. Sorry no pictures. :(

I used to leave tools in the floor cubby until I opened it up to find a pool of water in there, that came from a leaky water jug. Hopefully the weather stripping works.

I picked up a freedom top from Mel, aka TheChad, on saturday. I saw his JK build up close and it's nothing short of impressive. If the build goes as Mel has planned, it will be one for the off road magazines. I'm looking forward to seeing it when it's complete.

i saw you on the freeway somewhere around rancho headed up that way. i had just left. no doubt that mel's jeep is definately gonna be mag worthy. i was drooling over the 9" axles as it was. it's gonna look sweet when it's on the ground with 40's.

Not a Premier. Some buddies of mine are starting to fab welders and they are using my rig as a test platform for the JK. Once they have all the bugs worked out they'll start selling them. From what I have seen with the ones that they have built for their rigs, they are just as stout and powerful as the PPW, but at half the cost.

Take a break

Installed the Poison Spyder evap can skid. Nice unit. Had to stop in the middle with the Jeep in pieces and ride the Duc to the tool store to get a fn 7/32 hex wrench:pissed:. Of all the sets of American and metric and all the strays I've accumulated over the years, I didn't have one. Guess that's why they say to read all the instructions before starting...

Line-X Pics!!

Ok, for all of you asking to see. Sorry about the cell phone pics, normal camera is dead, better pics later.

I changed out my rear springs yesterday and today I'm putting the finishing touches on my new 5150 Fabrication rear bumper. Should be coated today and on the rig tomorrow...Pics when it's done

Added a Rancho rear bumper and tire carrier.

Installation was uneventful.

Went to Lowe's and swapped out the silver OEM pin with this pin for $6.

I'll probably add my winch this week if the rest of my parts come in.

Its Duplicolor spray on bed coating..almost three cans so it's about 1/8" thick. Installed pics are in the "Modified JK" section..The top section of the bumper is also an air tank so I will be piggy backin' it to the tank in front today..Thanks for the Props:beer:

Got the winch on and a few minor details....but mainly cleaned up the rear...

plate delete cover, relocated plate to the tramp stamp, got the ORO tag light in, and choppd the rear frame rails and crossmeber for the BFH rear....

going to fab a new crossmember out of some square or round tubing, because what was left was pretty much useles....
