JK's do have pretty rigged frames. Arguably the stiffest frame to ever come on a Jeep. I know over in the FSJ world (my other hobby) body and frame mounted stuff is a BAD thing to do. They have decent frames, but still way too much flex.

Since you also have a 2dr, you will most likely be fine. The 4 dr's get more flex since the frames are 20" longer.

And yeah, you will get more vibrations on the HWY, as well as some added road noise.
We'll see how it goes, the sliders will be about a $50 cost to me once I sell my stockers. So it's certainly worth pursuing.

installed a Dynomax Rockcrawler catback exhaust system..
How do you like it? Does that system relocate muffler to b/w frame rails in front of axle? That mod is creeping up on my list of wants. Can't wait to ditch that big ole thing Jeep hung back there.

Finished the install of two 2 gallon Rotopax Water Packs. Simple, different install on this one: 2 aluminum square tubes, 4 furniture caps, some hardware and a Rotopax Universal Mounting Plate.

Easily taken out when not needed or stood-up in a camp site for dirt-free water access.

Looks good....Just Empties Every Pocket!!! :D

Added a mirror relocate bracket built a fellow Jeeper and friend. Thanks C.
The door opens with to OEM bracket left on. It is great for doors off driving. The holes drilled through the side allow you to tighten the bottom bolt on the window frame. My buddy realized I'm moving out of the neighborhood soon so he took the one off his Jeep. He had said he would make me one so with no time to get it done...he comes through anyway. Real friend for sure and a real Jeeper. I had some springs for sale and guess what he needed them. Sold - $0.00 Good deeds just go a long way.

I ordered it in January and received it this week.

I knew up front before I ordered it would take some time.

I'm glad I selected it, even with the long wait.

It's a Shrockworks midlength.

Jim
I know. I really want their stubby. I just don't like the idea of having to wait 6 months to get it. Although with how long all of my other parts have taken I could have ordered in January and it would have arrived with everything else LOL.

Check out Shaffersoffroad front bumpers they are local for you binary and they are very nice looking and Alot cheaper than schrockworks

put on 37" mtr's-K. no working out the details and tweaking... bumpers not made to accomodate the 37" so using plasma cutter. one side done. other side will be fast... then grind and paint.. good times.

Added some mudflap hangers to the tailgate rack. Hate the damn things, but have to put them on for the streets. No more dirty, muddy, wet mudflaps inside the rig when wheelin.
that gave me a great idea! thanks fred and greg. I will be doing something similar. in our area we have to have four of these things on!! dam
