got my poison spyder evap skid on today. last week, i visited Jim P. and he installed his hood lifts and tailgate shock for me. Jim's a super cool guy and neat to talk to about his TTC experience. if you guys are ever in the w. sac area and are itchin for these, visit Jim and he'll prolly install them for you while you b/s about jeeps.

I look forward to meeting him one day. The PSC evap skid is stout. The hoodlift is a good idea too. I've had a strong wind nearly send the hood into the windshield, when I had it raised.

Not installed yet, but I picked up Rubi sliders and a front axle. Due to mothers day I have to wait until next weekend to start wrenching. :shaking:

How is the gate shock? I really need one of these.

If they mount to the fame and the body isn't that going to do all kinds of horrible things when your Jeep starts to flex?
YEP!! I hope Mikes got this figured out though!!

I've heard that but never actually seen it confirmed by anyone. I guess we will see what happens. I may get a few extra vibrations, but I'm not certain I'll tear anything up due to it.

I was told I need to move my rear bumper an INCH lower from the tub due to body flex. I've never hit that either and it's maybe a half an inch off. My rear poly cage stiffens the tub up a bunch.

We will find out.

JK's do have pretty rigged frames. Arguably the stiffest frame to ever come on a Jeep. I know over in the FSJ world (my other hobby) body and frame mounted stuff is a BAD thing to do. They have decent frames, but still way too much flex.

Since you also have a 2dr, you will most likely be fine. The 4 dr's get more flex since the frames are 20" longer.

And yeah, you will get more vibrations on the HWY, as well as some added road noise.
