Well, your rig looks set! When you come down this summer, let me know the dates early so I can make sure I get the time off. I want to go thru with you guys. I have the Poly basket in the back of mine. Love it. It keeps all the shit under it from rocking around also.

Oh btw how do you like the 20lbs powertank? I am looking but thought 15lbs would be enough....

Does Disassembly Count?

Completely disassembled my entire dash, while having a fever. Removed both speaker pods, sound-deadened the pods, poly-filled them, installed new speakers, and measured for an amplifier install.

BUT..., due to my fever and shakes, I couldn't get the pods back into the dash, or reassemble it, so my rig is disabled until I get better and return from a conference in S.F. this week. :(

this week was a good week for the jeep

new wheels and tires - military 37"s and recenterd humvee rims
trimmed the rear fenders (after tearing one off)
wet okole seat covers - gotta love getting $600 covers for $50 off ebay!
extended the front abs lines

If/when we make the plan to head down, I will let you know. It is looking like Sept discussion so far.

I love the 20LB Powertank. With the big meats, I saw no reason to go smaller.

The like the recentered humvee rims. Let us know what you think.

Busy busy. Summer's coming, don't spend it in the garage. Right? LOL

Recently, bedlined and installed new Poly Performance Baja Rack, to replace Bestop Universal Tray. Bought it locally, never installed for $150. :) Easily removed when not needed, by 4 bolts.

I like that rack - was trying to find it on PP's website - do you have the link or part number? Also, it looks like it might actually help reinforce the spare tire - does it? I'm a bit worried about all that extra weight..

Ok, I found the rack - what hardware did you use for the external/tailgate mount?

I bought it new/used locally so I didn't shop the website. Maybe search Baja on their site. It is meant to mount over the trunk area with rollbar brackets.

I am using it with Bestop Tailgate Rack mounts. Doesn't effect the spare tire at all.

Just dropped my junk off at Jeep Speed Shop in Petaluma. Finally got old enough to go in front of the Referee. Getting it to be a California Legal Hemi Swap. Oh and Eric (Woody99) saw your Jeep on the lift. That sucks......:shaking: Tranny? He had about 7-8 Jeeps getting worked on. Todd does great work!

Steve, I was looking at this last night. Here's the tailgate brackets from Bestop's site. I saw this part (only the brackets for $102 somewhere, forget now).
