A few additions to Big Red

Apart from the mods Jason and I did last year, we are now into 40's.
We cut and painted the fender well sheet metal, sorted out the bump stops, replaced the axles with Ten Factory shafts F&R, rear Dana 60 pro rock w/arb came last week, not installed yet. I went with the Poison Spider flares since they look so good on J's rig, they're at paint now. Wheels are ATX Slab beadlocks 17x9, tires are the new Nitto trailgrapler 40x13.50x17 they are so well made I didn't have to balance them. Other bits to go on are S-POD, ARB compressor for the rear locker and maybe even better brakes.

Some more of the trimming involved in getting 40" tires to fit. Wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. This is all pre touch up paint and fenders. Sorry for the angled pics but in the first one we cut the fender, grill, & bumper. With the custom secret squirrel bump stop mods we got these to fully stuff front lock to lock and rear with no rubbing at all on the fenders. Slight rubbing on the frame in front when locked. Didn't want to limit the steering anymore then we have it right now.

power steering wise - fine, but I haven't had it in the rocks yet. I am finding it difficult keeping it between the lines on the frwy especially when coasting.

No going back now, got my bfh rear, sanded back to bare metal, primed and first coat of matt nickel metallic.
And started chopping the frame.
