Post up any new Mod's you've done to the JK!! (WITH PICS IF YOU'VE GOT THEM!!)

Yep lemon law time!! Sorry to hear this is happening to you! There comes a time when you just have to say **** it!!And... I jinxed myself. Driving home everything seemed ok. Heard the noise still. All of a sudden RPMs go up, MPH goes down, and it wont let me shift from D to see what gear im in (yes its an auto), my temperature starts climbing. So I realize im in 1st gear going 50mph. Then my check engine light comes on. So I let off gas and start coasting. I try to shift and nothing. I get down to 10 MPH and give it some gas, nothing, no response at all. I pull off the side of the road put it in park and sit there I look underneath and at the engine. I see no leaks, nothing broken, everything seems great. I get in and give it gas, I start moving this time I only get to about 25 MPH. I live 17 miles from work. It took me 50 minutes to get home. There was no traffic.
Have you ever done a adjustable mid arm install? If not I suggest having someone there who has! It would save you one hell of a headache and a lot of time! We had 4 of us on my RK install. W of them have done installs before and it took us around 6 hrs. If you don't have a welder you will need to outsource that part. The rear track bar bracket has to be welded before you do any major wheelin! It will cost anywhere between 100 and 300 dollars at least that was my experience. Of course I took the $100 quote and they did a kick ass job! Go to my Colorado thread "install help" There are a few tricks there that are cool!Installed my rear Genright aluminum bumper. Had all the holes pre-drilled before taking it in for the powder coat, and it comes back and the damn thing didn't line up. I guess the PC oven somehow slightly warped it. Fortunately I was able to force it to fit with a lot of force and even more cussing. Pics coming later after I finish connecting the LEDs and tighten the receiver hitch.
Anyone tempted to jump on the 20% off Rock Krawler suspensions by Northridge? I'm thinking of going for the 3.5" for my JKUR. Not sure how tough the install would be, but I was going to go mid-arm instead of long-arm since I can't weld and wanted to try to tackle the install myself.
I know a guy, who knows a guy, who can do pretty much anything you need!damn I was hoping no welding.g was required. what was the hardest part of the install? sounds like my idea of doing the lift alone was a bit misguided.
So you know a guy... now we're getting somewhere...I know a guy, who knows a guy, who can do pretty much anything you need!
Those fenders were the first set me and Jeff cut at the old shop 3 years ago. I still think they are one of the nicest one's we've done.damn James!why not remove all your extras and lemon law it and get another?
J-, that's a badass jeep. i'm diggin the fender chop too.
How much for the J-mac wash, wax, clay, clean? You can really make SOME Jeeps look and work great! I'm thinking of taking the Hunters Point route. Where is that located again?Derek's bumper installed. Also did a full clay bar, wax, and interior clean. Also painted the rock rails. Just need to paint that horrible red tie rod and she is done. Maybe he will take care of it now!!!
Like the old saying, "if you have to ask, you can't afford itHow much for the J-mac wash, wax, clay, clean? You can really make SOME Jeeps look and work great! I'm thinking of taking the Hunters Point route. Where is that located again?
Some things are welded on, I dont think I have all of the stock parts, honestly I think it would be much easier if they would just pay me for the whole thing. Then I could rebuild and have something a little nicer built, I know thats not how it works but I can dream. Also I investigated more into it today, the noise is definitely my engine. But, I think my tranny is also gone since I basically get no drive capabilities now.damn James!why not remove all your extras and lemon law it and get another?
