Synergy Gas Tank Skid

Stock skid - Not stout at all, but served it's purpose...

Synergy Skid - Definitely stout, but I ran into some issues with the brackets and countersunk holes. Three of the brackets were countersunk way too far...the flat head allens would bottom out on the skid before drawing the bracket up tight to the skid. Called up Synergy, and they replaced them for me, but the end result was the same, just not as big of holes. In the picture below, the bracket on the right came with the skid (huge holes), and the other two are the replacements (not as big, but still too big).

All in all not a big deal, but a little frustrating. In the end I just drilled out the holes on the skid, and had to touch them up with some paint.

Nice, I sanded and sprayed my stock for now. It was looking similarly woeful after jkation. Ill be taking your route before too long.
Sanded and sprayed... phhhssss... Me thinks you may have caught a case of Jasonittus. :nono-1: ;) Marco's gas skid looks damn near showroom quality compared to mine.

Marco, Poly skid looks nice! Did you happen to take any before/after measurements or can just eyeball the sizing of the new skid with respect to how close it comes to the rear driveshaft flange? With the stock skid, I had to pound in the stock skid's area to make room for the flange (Woods shaft) as it made contact and grinded into the skid at extreme flex.

The Poly/Synergy skid is pretty form fitted to the tank, but I can take some measurements at rest if that helps? If not, maybe I can swing by MC and flex it out and see if it hits/measure it.

Just ordered up Full Synergy HD Skids, Tom Woods Front & Rear Driveshafts, Synergy rear Shock Relocation Brackets, and a set of the new Rock Krawler Pro-Series Control Arm Joints. After Shipping & Taxes it's nearly $3500 in parts you'll never even know were changed! Ugh.

What I assumed was the bearing going out on my alternator was actually my idler pulley system going out. This makes 3 times. Ive only owned it since Dec 31st 2011. The same issue 3 times is the Cali lemon requirement. So im going to start looking into it to see what my options are.
