Weird starting issue

Hey all,
Lately I have had some intermittent starting issues. The jeep would just click once and that was it. Battery is new and good. So I searched the forum and found that others were having the same issue and they suggested to put it in neutral to start. This didn't help but what I have come to realize is that I was starting the jeep to fast. Hoping in, putting the key in and trying to start it without waiting and it wouldn't start but if I turn on the power first and let all the dash lights come on then go off it starts fine. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if she is just being a needy 8itch.

Yeah checked everything and its tight and clean. I only have the problem if I go from off to start in one motion. If I turn it to auxillory wait a few seconds then start her I don't have a issue.

i used to have the same problem. after doing a good scrub down on the terminals the problem went away. the fricken electrical system in these jeeps can be super sensitive to voltage change. besides that im no help at all

Juice tranny?

I had a problem with my 08 and it turned out to be a switch for the tranny not fully engaged when in park. Wiggle the shifter and see if that helps.

Same here, I just give it a little tap towards park and she starts right up. I did buy a new battery the first time it happened, but I was due anyway.
