I just picked up a new '14 wrangler sport 2dr. I've noticed when putting the key in the "run" position it seems like the blower motor will blow for 2-3sec and then shut off. Is this normal?

Not sure what the noise is but there is something in the glove box area that turns on and clicks. It makes the same noise when you turn the engine off and sit in the seat a few minutes. :gluging:
Mine does it too. It runs for 2-3 seconds then shuts off for around 15. It's done that since the day I bought it over a year ago. After all, it is a Jeep. We don't buy them for their comfort or refinement.
Glad to hear others have experienced it. It seems to be blowing the air out in the floor for a few seconds.. I noticed it also does it for a split second when the jeep is running and you select the air to blow out of the vents.. It seems to purge some air out the floor before it comes out the vents.
IIRC it has something to do with not damaging a component or keeping occupants from getting blasted by hot or cold air. something along those lines
