Another option is to build you own mounting. Then you can use any of the universal drop down setups.

yea so apparently it was discontinued, there wasnt enough consumer interest. But they are still available at certain distributors. Now take it for what you will, the guy FROM Bestop that i spoke with, said it was a high quality product. I guess you can compare it to the quality of the other products they have.

Someone offers a dual headrest set from Audiovox. I can't remember if it's Phil D @ Trail Duty or Qudratec though.

Thats how I found it, but no-one has it in stock or they are discontinued.

Quadratec doesn't sell it anymore. Why not just get a portable dvd player and either have her hold it or tie it to the back of the seat for her.

Trying to find other options as i'm not a big fan of that look. I was able to find this overhang, but have to weather protect for when the top is off but that won't bee an issue. Just looking to see if anyone has done anything in the past. The unit on the OP is awesome.

I got a pair of DVD players from Target about 5 years ago & they have worked great. They attach to the back of the head rest and they're out of the way when the kids aren't in the jeep.

Some guy on here a few years ago showed pics of two that he bought and mounted in cutouts in the back of the headrests. Found it. Looked like they came from the factory. See post number 9.

Another option for you if you happen to have iPad's or Android tablets in the house is something like what we do. We've got a Seagate wireless hard drive loaded up with a ton of movies for the kids as well as the big people. The HDD broadcasts on a wifi signal and your connect your electronic device to that personal wifi network and stream movies from the HDD to your iPad, tablet, laptop, phone, etc. The only challenge here is getting ripped copies of movies to save to the HDD. In the same vein if you buy movies that include a digital copy you can download the digital copy of the movies to iPad or tablet and view that way without needing the HDD. The only limitation here would be storage capacity on the device in question.

So the kids don't have to hold the device the entire time we've got the iPad's mounted to the headrests with a Ram-Mount handlebar iPad mount, sorta similar to this but with a different clamp.

Exactly, you can get a portable DVD place with a headrest case for dirt cheap.
