Mirror Relocation

None of the relocation kits I've researched specifically state that interior control of the mirrors can be retained after mirror relocation. Are there any mirror relocation kits out there that allow you to retain interior control over automatic mirrors?

For trail riding or even just awesome days, I'll be mounting Body Armor Trail doors with the web inserts to a 2015 Unlimited Sahara. I'd rather not have to mount, demount, and remount my mirrors every time I go half-door.

My gut feeling is no, there aren't. Simple because the wiring harness is inside the door. If someone does have a relocation wiring harness your probably stuck with a body mounted mirror, as the wires would need some protection.

You didn't state why you are looking to move the mirrors, but if its because you're looking to run with the doors off for the summer, if it were me I'd just get some cheap mirrors that mount to the door hinge. But if your looking for a long term relocation of your mirrors and want to keep your power mirrors, well good luck.

This! ^^^ I can also tell you that manual mirrors relocated to the windshield frame bring the vacuum to your life. The passenger side, especially, is all but worthless after the move. And unless you go to the trouble to pull your power mirrors off your doors, you can't reinstall the doors without removing the relocated mirrors.

Best bet on the Body Armor doors is to use the mirrors designed for that door. Or like Grumpy5 said, get some cheap door hinge mounted mirrors. There are some that just bolt through the hole where the door hinge pin would go on the body side of the hinge. You'd still have to remove them before remounting the doors, but it would be much easier than the typical windshield mounted mirror brackets.

The Body Armor mirrors work pretty good on the Body Armor doors. I don't remember the price, but they were inexpensive. You also really don't need interior control of the mirrors when they are literally a foot away from your hands with nothing in the way. Granted the pass side is a bit farther.

I used stock replacement power mirrors from amazon (half the price of the mopar power mirrors) for my Rancho tube doors. It was easy to drill a new hole that would pass the mirror harness plug.

My full doors have power mirrors but I didn't want to mess with removing them each time I swapped the doors so I purchased the spare set of powered/heated mirrors.

The challenge is in wiring them up. The mirrors come with a pretty long wire harness, almost long enough to reach the door harness plug in the kick panels. Mopar sells a plug end that you can wire in the pins manually etc. for the front door harnesses but the plug kit is even more than the entire left and right door harnesses.

The other idea I had was to wire in another custom connector just for the mirrors in parallel to the door harness. This way he full doors could be put on and use he regular connector and then the tube doors would use the new connector that was wired in parallel.
