Is it too late to rotate in my spare?

Due to the crappy economy (okay, so I'm just broke and bad with my money :thefinger:) I have been totally procrastinating on getting my tires rotated. I put Nitto Mud Grapplers on about 6750 miles ago and have yet to get them rotated. A few weeks after I purchased them I ran over a nice 2" long screw (boy was that a bad day) and had to plug the tire, so I really want to put that one as my spare. Is it a bad idea since there is such a difference in the tread from the brand new one I currently have as a spare and to the worn ones I have on now?

:shaking: I suck.. should have done this a long time ago. :innocent:

I LOVE my Mud Grapplers. I never want any other tires again. I have only been stuck once (see below) and I'm definately not one to take the bypass, so I've put them to the test. :smokin:

You have only been stuck once and I was the one to recover you....I feel honored to have been your first!!!:grinpimp:

As far as the tire rotation, your fine. I use Grant's diagram G and do it every 5,000/same as oil change. Using the tire with the plug is also not a big deal on a mud tire. Every Jeep I have owned has had plugs in the tires. High performance tires and motorcycles are a different story but on your grappler don't sweat it.

I rotate every 5k. The MT's in the front do have a bit more wear on them then an AT in the same place. I may up my rotation to 3K to keep them a bit more even.

I lube my end links (Teraflex) and rotate my tires every 3k, as well as an underbody inspection (I look around to see if I broke anything :)), and check the brakes while the wheels are off. I change my oil every 6k in normal use, or 3k if I'm off-roading- Mobil 1 only, OEM (Mopar) filter. I also dust out my Mopar/K&N air filter every 3k- Mark W.
