I use Lucas, but any major brand is O.K. I am in hot as hell Phoenix Arizona USA. Lucas hold up really good in this extreme heat.

Front axel seal on the 'short end' passenger side on a RHD was weeping 3 years back.
Had previously been replaced with a Crown brand.
Replaced both with new Mopar two part seals.
Quite an operation teasing out the diff gearing to access them and scraping the axel tubes free of debris, which I left to someone whose done a few.
I know my limitations.
I unusually use Red Line 75W-140 to fill them.

I am getting ready to place the order for my front axles, should I just replace the seals or the whole axles while taking it apart?
as for bearings, what should I do get
2013 Sahara unlimited
Looking at axles, wow so many choices, I am getting lost in this, what should I stay away from? What is decent and what do you all recommend? I mainly use it as a daily y

What would warrant changing the axles vs keeping the original ones?
This is a daily driver, never had the chance to go off road with it, no trails near me.
I already have the seals and oil, what about bearings? What do I order for those?

fisrt time doing this, so I am still learning

If the front bearings have never been replaced at that mileage, (one of mine went out at 74,000 miles) I would get them replaced while the shafts are out to do the seals.
Also, most likely the UJ's & Ball Joints if they've got a lot of miles on them.
You can test the UJ's for articulation better with the shafts out.
They'll probably need replacing.
You don't need a new axle unless its been bent.
Just replace the above with OEM or decent makes and your good to go for many a mile.
It'll cost a bit, (as usual) but far cheaper than a replacement axle.
Find someone who's done a few to do the job.

For Ball-joints, Dynatrac pro-steers are the gold standard. Plus, they are rebuildable..FYI

Those are re-greaseable UJ's
Does it state its for your axel. My 2007 built Sahara according to the build sheet, has the NEXT GEN. Dana 30 front axle.
Got the UJ's done a couple of years back and used the OEM Mopar ones which were expensive, but for the kind of stuff I do last long enough. Got some Spicer Non Greaseable ones for spares 5-760X as they were a good price off Amazon.
Those Dynatrac ball joints suggested above are really heavy duty stuff, especially it your intending to do some hard wheeling.
Last time, I went with the non greaseable OEM Mopar BJ's, they are overpriced, but have lasted quite a while.
Just keep using your Jeep & don't let it stand for long periods.
Plenty options out there, depends how hard your going to be on your JK.

Ok, not sure if I understand correctly your reply 😅🤔
I am still looking for the u joints, I am not sure you are saying the ones I linked are good or not?
I never had to buy those before so to me they all look the same
Amazon shows me many different ones, all of them say they are compatible, so why so many differences 🤔🤔🤔😓😫 I do read through the information given, but I am still lost 😞

Check out Old Doggers reply in this post might explain it better, as your Sahara is a more recent model than mine.
Yeah it can be confusing, been there when I bought mine, same axels with slightly different sized axel stubs for different years.
For reference only found this on a site over here in England for a 2013
Also this
Both suggest you check dimensions

Sorry cant be more definitive, but Old Dogger may chip in.
Can always check with your local dealers if you give them your vin number for a precise product code.
