Ok, I have a 52' Willys M38, it's built up with D44 in the rear D30 up front, from a Cj7 and a GM 4.3l v6 turning all the gears.

The springs are YJ springs front and rear, I broke one of the rears and want to replace it, only thing I'm not sure if they are stock YJ springs or lift springs?

Don't want to put lift springs on if the ones coming off are stock, I'd be to high, and vise versa putting on stock springs if the ones coming off are lift springs.

How can a person tell the difference between stock and lift leaf springs?

What size tire do you have? That may answer the question right there!

Otherwise, measure the total length of the spring. A stock YJ spring has a total length of 45 3/8".

Any "YJ" spring that yields a lift will be longer than this in order to gain the height while retaining the same "eye to eye" dimensions.
