I've been driving around with steel wheels on my JK since I got it, hoping one day I could upgrade it. Last week I found a guy local who had a set of 5 Rubicon wheels and tires for a great price. I got to run and pick them up and they are on my JK now.

I love the added height, and I love the sound. The only thing is, I have no balance issues with them from 0-50MPH, but then at 55 things get a little squirrelly, but if I move up to 60, all is well again! I am going to try this weekend to swap the spare with one of the fronts and see if it's just one of the wheels that has an issue. The weights appear to be all there, and the tires don't appear to have any strange tread wear so, not sure what is causing the vibration at 55. I guess it just means to stay away from that number LOL!

Just had to share this update with those whom I knew would appreciate the news!

255/75 17.

Go ahead and get them re-balanced. Mine are smooth and quiet up to 90mph. The may need to wear into their new locations if you didn't get them in the same location as the seller had them.

Just wondering did moving from the stock 29" tires to the new 32's throw off your speedo any?
Any change in tie size will throw your speedo off a few percent. Up to 32" the dealer can reflash it to correct the difference, but any bigger and you'll need a programmer.

Buy a ProCal, the dealer usually wants hourly rate plus standard charge for the reflash. Example - local dealer wanted 55.00 dollars plus the hourly rate which was I think 85.00 to perform the reflash. I bought a ProCal for 125.00 from Jason at TrailConcepts/Airpark. Now I can change a bunch of stuff on the fly anytime I want.

As far as the balance issue, got to your local tire shop and have them pull the lip weights and rebalance with tape weights all the way around.
