I would really like to get the rear bumper but it can't handle a 39" tire. I like my Front RR and a matching rear would be great. Wondering if I could mount the Finishline West tire carrier onto the RR rear bumper

Where to put the lights

My next project is adding 2 sets of light to the pre-runner,
I am getting ready to install the lights on the pre-runner, the only problem is I don’t know exactly were I should put each set. I am going to install 1 set of Delta 100, driving lights, and also had an upgraded HID 100 series. I was thinking of putting the driving light over the winch and the HID in front of the head lights. Since I am going to be drilling and running wires threw the bumper I want it done right the first time. Has any one used the mounting plates on the Pre-runner yet? Any comments are welcomed,

Apparently I'm the only one, but my XHD rear bumper and tire carrier were a fabulous disaster. I didn't forsee any issues with the front, which I also bought, but after the rear I was so fed up with RR that I returned the whole shebang. Got the front and rear Rockhard bumpers, fit like a glove and work perfectly, 1/4" steel throughout and made in the USA....the total price difference front and rear was $141.

Hey X

X-Defector, Don't you have another tread call, "XHD Rear Bumper Epic FAIL – help me choose another", that you express this point. I can understand your feelings towards a product that lets you down, especially one that you were looking forward too, but
I think that my rear bumper works and looks perfect. So with that being said,

Well, in that case, mount 'em on the fuggin' end pieces of the bumper if you've got 'em. :thefinger: :bender: (always wanted to use that random goat emoticon).

RR customer service

How about this, I opened my tire carry on an incline slopping towards the passenger side, and snap. The slide bolt that holds the tire carrier open breaks. I call RR, and to change it, they send me a whole new tire carrier, to replace the bolt. No coast to me at all, the best part is after one call I had the tire carrier in 2 days. Nice Customer service RR.

Anybody wearing a Rugged Ridge XHD front bumper? I'm shopping a front bumper that meets the following criteria:

1) Stubby or darn near for good approach angle
2) Incorporates factory fogs cuz I'm too cheap to buy new ones (yet)
3) Incorporates winch w/o blocking the entire grill
4) Has a stinger, cuz my wife likes 'em, and it's a good place to hang the winch hook
5) Doesn't look or function like a piece o' crap.

I'm leaning toward the rugged ridge cuz I know it meets 1-4. Anybody have an opinion? I trimmed my fenders last week and now the stock bumper looks even worse than it did in the first place. That's what I get for a free mod :shaking: Oh yeah forgot to mention I'm poor, so price is always part of the equation...
Cut your fenders cut your bumper...my 2 cents.

Wow this thread's back from the crypt :ghost: Good to hear about RR's customer service... there aren't really any moving parts on the front bumper to break but it's good to know they're there if I need them. I did crunch one of my RR nerf steps on a rock a few weeks ago... another 1/2" and it would have laid into my tire. I figure it's my own bad but maybe I'll call them anyway and at least see if I can buy new mounting brackets without having to buy all new side steps.

Fenders cut and new bumper installed :grinpimp:
