Dude/Chic whatever parked next to me, I can only assume it was because they thought they were better than me.

Ok, maybe it was the spot that was open.

When I got back to my “car”, I overheard the Red Monstrosity telling mine “I wish I was a Jeep, and had a cool dad like you”

Jeep, 10x the fun @ 1/3 the cost.

Those capabilities are powered by an ingenious new drivetrain. The handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine generates 577 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. It sprints from 0-60 in just 4.4 seconds. And its two twin scroll turbochargers guarantee a whip-fast response. That power and agility are further enhanced by a 9-speed transmission that uses model-specific software to achieve remarkably fast shift times.
Damn things are 100k.

They've sure taken the off out of offroad.

Probably could have found the dude that owns it in the hair products section.

I think it looks stupid too.

If you hearing it talk maybe you should go lay on the couch and get your head shrunk.

They called that a 'medium' trail!? That's just an ordinary dirt road. I'd drive that in pretty much any normal car.

A few years ago the Australian Army replaced all it's Defenders, with G Wagons. They have 10 variants in use.

Variants

The G Wagon fleet (composed of vehicles acquired under LAND 121 Phase 3A and Phase 3B) will comprise a total of ten variants:

G-Wagon 4x4

Truck, Lightweight, Single-Cab, Carryall (2-door)
Truck, Lightweight, Single-Cab, Panel Van (2-door)
Truck, Lightweight, Dual-Cab, Station Wagon (4-door)

G-Wagon 6x6

Truck, Light, Single-Cab, Carryall (2-door)
Truck, Light, Single-Cab, Ambulance (2-door)
Truck, Light, Dual-Cab, Canine (4-door)
Truck, Light, Dual-Cab, Command Post Mobile (4-door)
Truck, Light, Surveillance & Reconnaissance
Truck, Light, General Maintenance Vehicle (4-door)
Truck, Light, Line-Laying Module (4-door)
Now, in a few years time when they start selling them off to replace them...

If you hearing it talk maybe you should go lay on the couch and get your head shrunk.
I’m way beyond any good that would do but thanks for the suggestion.

For driving where high clearance is required, the Wrangler is a far better tool for the job, no doubt.

Everywhere else, that G-Wagen is 10X the vehicle IMO  :bounce: . . .

. . . right until something expensive needs fixing :nono:

then I have no use for that overpriced piece of crap

Eh, it would probably be about the same as a Jeep, Down Under...

eg: Clockspring from dealer for the JK: $1179AU part only, pick up in a week when they get it from the warehouse. Clockspring shipped from JeepsAreUs: $260AU, delivered on the doorstep in a week.
