I am in the market for a winch for my new 2013 rubi unlimited. I want to spend $700 ish. I am looking at the Ramsey Rep 9.5 ,warn m 8000 or a vr 10000, super winch 9.5.

I have had great luck with a warn but I do not know if the 8000lbs will work for the unlimited. The Ramsey looks good however I do not know much about them besides being another American winch

Ramsey is a great winch. Can't talk about that specific one since I don't have experience with it. But Ramsey has been around a long time. Not very big in the Jeep offroad world but huge in military gear.

But I'm impressed with the Smitty Built. Goodysgotacuda (member) has a 10,000 lbs one that he uses a LOT. The thing is priced right and works great. For the money that you want to spend you could probably get a SB and synthetic winch rope.

I've had great luck with my Superwinch winches. I've had the LP8500 and LP10000 (now) and I have zero complaints.

I've also heard great things about Engo. Just picked up an e10000s for $420.
