After I did my Lift and tires I had the same problem. I had my Tires aligned and that took care of my problem. I think I have also read that there was a problem that the computer had to scanned by the dealership to take care of the problem, don't quote me on that though.

Make sure your steering wheel is straight. 90% of the time this is the problem. It's very easy to adjust. The drag link that goes from you steering box to the wheel knuckle has an adjuster on it. Loosen the jam nuts and turn the barrel until the wheel is straight. Drive it and see what you have then adjust accordingly.
yeah it is slight off. i had an alignment already, but they didnt straighten it. ill go back tomorrow and have em do it
Also make sure your tire pressure isnt too high. You should be running about 30psi with 33's. and centering the steering wheel yourself is cake.
Do you know what your camber is set at? It should be about 6 degrees. Mine is at 8 and all my problems have gone....:smokin:

I'm going to quote you on that...:thefinger:

I had the same problem with a 2.5" lift and 35's before...The ESP/BAS light would repeatedly come on when going around on and off ramps. The problem was corrected when my dealer did some wizardry with the starscan tool and I haven't seen it on in 6 months (although it did come on recently when my steering wheel was a 1/4 turn off center, which is expected). The foreman said it was a TSB for lifted vehicles that he performed.
My understanding is that there is a clock spring in the steering wheel which senses how much you have turned the wheel. When centered the ESP / ABS computer expects a delta between the inside and outside wheel in a turn and that delta is relative to the amount the clock spring sensor believes the wheel is turned.

Lined up the steering on my Poly Perf Synergy 3 kit and all is well. Before doing this it was not driveable.

Hope that helps.

That would be caster, you can't adjust camber.

FWIW You can set the caster pretty high with stock drive shafts, but with aftermarket shafts you will have to sacrifice some caster to maintain a good pinion angle.

As already mentioned, nearly every time this issue is caused by not having the steering wheel centered, occasionally not having the correct axle track also causes issues.

This should be it. I had the same prob and it fixed it.:smokin:
I've played with steering wheel straightness on all 3 of the JK's we've had here.

All of them trip the ESP at least once in a while.

The answer is that ESP in general sucks on lifted JK's, and there's a how-to here somewhere on disabling it.
