I fish off my dock in our lake. Too damn hot right now though! Love the spring and fall when they stock the lake. If I could just figure out a way to shoot the illegal mexican workers that fish our "private" lake without going to jail. :pissed:

Alaska!! for 31 years... Kenai River- Sockeye Salmon, Dolly Var ton, silver salmon. Nothing like throwing your line in glacier fed water to pull out a monster trout, dolly, or salmon.

I was a guide for a number of years in Alaska..Born and raised... I go every summer. Its in my blood.

Dad says that when I came out of the whom that my hands were moving like I was reeling in a fish.

I love to fish! I almost always have my pole & tackle in the Jeep with me. I live not too far from the Fraser River and about a hundred lakes and streams.

I also fish the salt chuck at the mouth of the Fraser where it dumps into the ocean. Many Salmon, cod, & halibut to be had there - provided an Orca pod is not in the area!

Fishing is great in this neck of the woods. I have a 17.5' Larson runabout with an older Merc 85hp, and a 9' rubber boat for the small ponds and lakes.

Although I prefer saltwater fishing for reds and speckled trout, I took my oldest son(10) and my nephew(11) fishing in a pond in a city park close to home, it's stocked with bass! The first pic is my son in the red with his first bass ever, he caught it but was to scared to hold it! The second pic is my nephew with another!

Here is the one of the Salmon i caught a couple weeks ago on our annual trip to the Gunnison area.

Another week and that dog would be falling apart! Looks good and they're a great fight on a 5 or 6 wt. fly rod, but I hate touching the ugly bastards.

When I lived in Alaska, I was 1/4 owner of a 50' Nordhavn so we were always on the water fishing for halibut, salmon shark, and everything else in those waters. I was a fly fishing guide on the Kenai River for 6 years and a few other rivers. I also commercial fished for 6 years. Nothing like catching a million pounds of salmon in a year and 100k of crab and not wanting to eat 1 oz. of that nasty ****. I don't eat anything that lives in the water, but will pull a moose or bear I shot out of the water and then cut and eat :)
