I'm looking to install some sort of custom aux fuse/relay panel on a 2012 JKU, but I don't think I need to reinvent the wheel. Where have you mounted yours? Let see 'em
It has power going into it from the battery. Depending on what I run off each circuit will determine if I use a relay or not.Looking good. Don't think I have that kind of space in mine though. How do you plan on running it? Relay controlled?
Because that junction block was 12.00 bucks and wiring a relay is easy. Why not spod? There amazing!!!
Agreed. sPOD is a wonderful product. However, a Cooper bussmann relay board is only about 18 dollars and, if wired correctly, is more capable. $400+ is just too high of a price point for some of us.Why not spod? There amazing!!!
I'm only running some LED lights through it so if its going to melt it will be from underhood temps. For what it cost I'll just replace the block if it melts. If I was running something that was going to draw more I'd probably look for something more substantial.Yeah, I started with one of those cheap fuse blocks and it melted. Kinda sucked because I had my headlight replacement harness going through it and, of course, it happened at night far from home.
I replaced it with a Blue Sea Systems ATO fuse block, $35 shipped off Amazon, Velcroed to the battery. No problems since, even with my 80W H4 bulbs.
