Hey guys! Been lurking around for awhile and decided to sign up. Little about me. Married with children, middle-aged guy from the Steel City. Been a truck owner for 17 years and decided to go roomier with the birth of my son last year. Landed a 08 Unlimited X this past August and let me tell you I still have a silly cheese on my face when I drive it. Still stock at this point and don't really know when the mods will begin, although I did get a ORF stubby front bumper after some dillweed backed into one month after getting my jeep. Question to yunz is... should I hold off on installing it or do yunz think it will look ok with the itty bitty 225s? Can't really afford bigger tires now with the shatty ecomomy. Hopefully by the end of the year things will look better. Just wondering what yunz guys think? Glad to be here. Hope to have fun. And oh yeah... my first :thefinger:

Welcome to the forum!

I lived in the 'burgh (airport area) for around 20 years before heading south last year for warmer winters. Now we're rootin' for the Stillers n-nat down here.

I say swap out the bumper. Anything looks better than the stock one.

Right back at ya...:thefinger:
what's up??

Welcome from sunny California!!!!
hahah... I'm originally from Indiana, PA... Good ole IUP baby!! Hey throw the bumper on! It will look a hellava lot better than that crappy stock I tell ya! I still have my stock 225's on as well.. I wheel with them and everything.. Screw it! Drive it until the rubber is done.. Well welcome to the forum!!!
Glad ta see some 'Burghers in the crowd. Stillers all the way! Now ya got me jonesin for them. Can't wait to see how they'll do this coming season. I've been thinking of throwing the bumper on for awhile now. Was to get new tires this past income tax return but the wife needed some things done and that shot that idea down real quick. I'm not a big wheeler. Just usually on some back trails when I go fishing. My plans so far are 31"-32" ATs, Black wheels(don't know which but love the look) and a ORH top(have the hard top only now). Simple yes, but I'm a simple guy. Maybe in a few years a lift might be in order with bigger tires, but I only have 3.73s now so that might need changing. Yunz are right. I'll be throwing on the stubby in a few days. Hey Airric00, I see you have a net in some pics. Is that for the dog? Is that a Rangler or something different. I need one for my dog too. Constantly tries to jump the seat. Thanks for the welcome guys!

yeah.....

It's the Raingler net. You have to drive some self tapping screws for 2 brackets to mount it where I did. It's no biggie.. Just use stainless screws to avoid rusting! Especially in the burgh!!
I've been looking at the Rangler nets but boy are they pricey. Gonna have to save more pennies. Between the kids and the wife I don't have much left over for a new addiction. LOL! :shaking:
Hey my dad's from Pittsburgh, Clairton to be exact Welcome to the forum!
Welcome to you from the other side of the Keystone state!
Yeah I seen that one Airric00. Guess I'll bite the bullet and get one. Hey Rollbar13...I'm from Clairton too. Now I live in Jefferson Hills. I'm sure your dad knows where that is. Small world huh?
