what it's worth and what you're going to get are 2 different things.

what you'll probably get is mid to low 30's.

I've got an offer of $41,500 pending. I'm trying to get him up to $42,000. That's including the half doors. He's trying to get a loan from his Credit Union.

I know some of you have mentioned that I'd be lucky to get over $30,000. But, I'm starting to think that that's honestly not enough for the vehicle. I checked eBay and they're aren't anything comparable, just some Jeeps with a few AEV parts that are older (2007's) and have a ton of miles. I've got just over 19,000 miles on the vehicle and well over $50,000 invested in it.

There's a local dealership that has a 2009 with 18,900 miles, no leather and a 4.5" Lift with 37's for $47,882, and that's without the second set of (half) doors. Is this rig overpriced or is mine underpriced?

I know that rig is from a dealer and mine would be through a private sale but I'm starting to think I should keep it and forget the idea of getting rig of it. Or at least, waiting a while and stripping it down when the time comes to actually get rid of it and get a realistic amount back for the rig and as much as I can back from all the mods.

Please help, I'm confused.

My friend ended up being all talk. Met this person through Craigslist. I was originally more looking for help on what to price it out at. But, not that I have a possible deal I need help/advise/reassurance that I'm getting a good price or not.

If it's in the wrong section, sorry, please move it.

I agree with this. W/O the Hemi upgrade built JK's arent selling for anything more than built TJ's did at a comparable time. I'd say if you can get 40K for it your real lucky, building and selling jeeps is a bad business man, just keep the damn thing.

While that is a beautiful rig with lots of mods, is an '07 (3 years older) with almost double the mileage.

I dunno.

I think I've decided against the MW3 edition though. If I sell my rig, I'll order a loaded White Rubicon Unlimited with Color Matched Top and Flares.

Since you asked....

I was just shopping for used Unlimited Rubicons, vs. 2012 models....it was a no brainer for me.

New is always better than new when it comes to late model Jeeps. There is little to no depreciation, unless you dump lots of $$ in to it.

A 2012 Rubicon unlimited, 6speed soft top, good deal is $33,500.00 and it has a foundation for a better trail rig with the new motor and updated 6spd trans(or 5spd auto).

Anyone can add used and new aftermarket bolt-ons with little to no loss, because of the used accessory market.

It might have almost double your miles but it has double the money of modifications as yours too. :)

sure but the pre '12's aren't pulling $ anymore. if someone's going to drop 40 grand on a rig they're going to go for a '12 and put another 10k into it making it sweet. the '10 has the old interior and old motor. most people would rather buy the 07 for 10 grand less than the '10 since they're the same thing.

your best bet is, and always will be, stripping it to stock and trading it in and selling your mods. You don't have a lot of high dollar mods on there.

bumpers, tires, and winch and maybe the lift are really the only big items. all the other little stuff you never get $ back on when selling it.
