Thats my wallet to give you a size reference. VisionUSA.
So seeing as you have a Hemi and 60's and that is your wallet I am guessing that the lights are about 1'x2' and 87 $100 bills thick...

In all seriousness...I would love to hear how those visionX lights with 10w LEDs compare to the Rigid LED light bars I know the new Rigid 2x2 have 6 LEDs and put out 2600 lumens ($360 price tag) so how is the output on those visionX....can you post pictures in the dark after install Dinker?

Well, I just got these from Poly. They are going on my rear tire carrier. Back up lights. Perfect size! Now I have to remove it (Tire Carrier) weld the tabs on and re power coat it. :shaking:

Shoot some pics once you've welded the tabs on, and mounted the lights. I've been brainstorming about this for a while, and you may be onto an idea that looks clean, functions well, and doesn't get hit by carnage.

Thanks!

RC, no problem.....I have been trying to figure out a clean looking backup light system for sometime. We shall see.

Oh and Family-JK, I have see these hitch mounted bars work on the trail in Moab. Nice! At least you made it clear the spare. If you are like me with kids, the back is always opening for snacks and drinks.......:laughing:
RC, These were the Vision lights I was talking to you about as a solution for back up lights. I'm really looking forward to how you (JKDinker) mount them up as I'm sure a few of us will be getting some ideas, if you don't mind. please post a write up on your install and if you could show some pics with them lit up. Hell I just might have to see this in person. :D

In regards to the rear hitch slider, I stopped by EVO in So-Cal and got the idea off one of their rigs parked out front. I thought it would work well, but we shall see. Ya I do open the back allot with the kids and all. I guess we shall see if I can still open the back with the fist use of the slider though. :D

Productive day over at Jim's house. Jim and I, knocked out the following on my rig:

* Installed B&M Transmission Cooler
* Installed Lightforce Striker 170 HIDs
* Installed Daystar Hood Wrainglers
* Installed Rear Light Covers/Guards
* Installed New Stainless Braided Supply Line for OBA
* Installed Rock Krawler Misalignment Joint on Trackbar
* Trimmed & Installed Inner Fenders to work w/ RROR Tube Fenders
* Ground Down Steering Stops on Reid Racing Knuckles

Scott stopped by for a couple of hours to lend a hand, and resurrected my inner fenders (thanks, Scott!)

All-in-all, a very productive day!

Changed out both my front axle seals this morning.

Lesson learned, the headache of changing axle seals in a jk is not worth the money saved.... Taking it to someone else next time!

JK update weekend

Very productive weekend in garage. I address a few issues and got everything back perfect working condition like rebuilding my winch. In addition I managed to wet sand my paint for a show room look and add few more fresh coats of herculiner to my custom bumpers, frame, and suspension parts. finally went one step further and invented a new storage trunk for 2 door jk with seat removed. works great to hide things under and doubles cargo capacity and provides a wall to enclose a rear subwoofer system. enjoy! feels good to have the jeep back in pristine order. ready for moab this summer!! next weekend custom spare tire carrier!

Pulled the t-case skid and attempted to pull the gas tank skid to hammer out the snow run dent. Did not know that the tank skid held the tank itself up. Grrr. I did get to clean about 15 pounds of dried mud from the t-case skid.

Also pulled the X stickers from both sides.

How do I pull the gas tank skid without fuckin up the gas tank?
