Venting my hood...

Getting these laid out... not set in exact position yet...

Intent is to get some cross venting going on... gets pretty hot with the supercharger... not sure how effective the cross venting hoods and aftermarket vents really are. See a lot of people running them ... figure it can't hurt.

Still playing around with the layout...

I think you should do as many as possible. My buddy DeAndre put 14 on the hood of his 1987 Buick Lesabre and he lowered hood temps drastically. I think his were chrome so they also looked really good!

 

I don't know if you're seriously going to use those? But just a heads up, Rebel had some really good looking hood vents that may look better on your rig...

I can see one of those painted a silver candy so the CF shows through on your hood. Just a thought.

Kind of fawned up the intake is not centered on the JK hood. wtf?

 

Welded in Polys C gusset kit, and got one side BJ's and U-joints installed.

I knew Hog & others would go apeshit before I posted them... my first thought with the first photo was Warf... it looks like Warf's Klingon Jeep... anyhow I only act like a little biatch when ppl make fun of my Porsche... just adhering to the stereotypical social expectations of a pompous ass sports car owner...

Got some disappointing news though... I'm going to have to cancel this weekend... I've got to work on some dock problems at Cruiser Haven...

I should hold a Jeep day and see how many docks I can get built with Cutts Crew... any carpenters in the ranks? JK... got things pretty much under control...

Have fun... wish I could get out of this but I've got some older folks counting on me getting the roof raised on a couple slips... Their boat needs to get under cover... out of the weather...

Not centered yet because their not permanently installed yet... I'm going to run some temperature tests with no vents first and get an idea about how effective a vented hood really is...

Firepower ignition cables arrived ... these look to be the best spark plug cables I've ever had. looking forward to seeing how the Screaming Demon coil performs... says I can take my gap up to 60... was wondering if anybody else is running a performance coil and what they're gaping their plugs at?

My OEM battery died last thursday (after 4½ years, including hard winching).
Got an Odyssey 34-PC1500T...
I read in here that the Odyssey were pretty good.
Well, it started right up this morning...

 

Front and rear Blue Torch Fab diff covers and Teraflex 2.5" coil kit go on tomorrow.
