Bent the mounts for my right stock Rubi rock rail back into approximately the right shape and pushed the fender back into its plastic clip. Went from this:

If you're up close you can see the dent in the body where the rail hit (and I need to get some chip repair paint to sort of disguise the places where the paint chipped off), and you can see that the rail still isn't *quite* right (it's out and up slightly compared to the driver's side rail), but it looks good enough for now. I just have to remember not to wheel until I get real rock rails instead of these pretend ones. (Actually, the stock Rubi rails themselves aren't bad, it took the blow with little more than a scratch, but the mounting system -- two noodly brackets attached to the pinch seam and a clip in the footstep mounting channel -- sucks big-time).

They actually did not do to bad at all. They did their job to some degree as you have minor body damage but it did take most the hit. You should see my driver side rocker from not having protection and trusting a bad spotter. Glad they are covered with the guards now.

 

Saved the rest of NorCal from a 175 lb projectile (my spare 37" Toyo), by replacing the lug nuts on my tire carrier with ones that thread on.

Look at the poison Spyder rocker nockers. They are tough as hell and pretty easy to mount up.

 

The Rocker Knockers appear to mount in a similar way to the stock rocker guards, but with *many* more bolts and much sturdier mounts. Definitely on my "to look at" list now...

 

They utilize the factory mounts, then add about 12 more mounts per side. They spread the load over the entire tub.

Yesterday chopped the front bumper and today swapped the trektop NX for a 2011 OEM soft top the the guy had on his 2011 JKU for 500 miles!!!

Sent all the Poison Spyder stuff off to Colorcoat Powder Coating today.

Found some nice TJ doors complete with mirrors on craigslist in Tracy today... silver grey so I'll need to paint them.

Worked with Chris at Sierra4x4trailers.com to install the Poly Performance Sleeve and Gussets on my Rubicon D44. He does amazing work so if you need someone in the area that can do the work, I recommend him
