Has anyone actually swapped out their stock JK front seats for the Viper SRT seats?

I saw in other threads it being mentioned to reduce weight. I also have seen pics of some Jeep concepts where they were used. I've done searches here and more broadly with the google, but haven't located any thread or post from someone who has done it.

While weight is a factor, I'm more interested in the side bolstering and control that the Viper seat has over stock, yet it still has the ability to adjust the seat back unlike many of the aftermarket seats, and more importantly, going with a SRT Viper seat looks to be a cheaper alternative than aftermarket.

So has anyone here done it, or have a link to someone who has?

it was way lower and easier to get in and out of then the jeep. I dont think I would put them in my jeep if it was me. I really liked them for a road truck but feel like it would hamper you for 85% of your jeep driving. Ill dig for photos, I know I have them somewhere

That's good to know. I like the side bolstering they offer, but wouldn't want to have to do a lot of modifications/spacers in order to get the seat at the right height. An aftermarket mounting bracket is one thing, but if you have to build the mounts, it pretty much offsets any savings you have from buying Viper seats over an aftermarket Jeep seat.

If you find any pics, it would be interesting to see how it looks in your truck.

Thanks!
