I have seen them in person, and I have to say that if I had the coin my jeep would be on the list waiting for these.

Mel has people coming in from as far as Arizona & Utah .

He is a very knowledgeable person,

He set my JK up with one of the first sets of 5:13's, Chromoly shafts, & the drive lines with not one issue, make a vacation of it, and get r done in one trip too.

I thought the exact same thing but 3600 miles round trip is a bit too much to save $800

Wow, that all looks great. I really like the rear panel full coverage and flat/recessed light. The whole thing is very clean.

The reason for all the armor is protection, right? So how tough are the fender flares? Are they reinforced (is that necessary with amount of flat sheet metal it's welded to)?

Here's my quick scale of toughness:
  • Can I use them to pivot around a tree?
  • What about a soft flop on the side?
  • What about a rought hit on the rocks?
Yes, very subjective, but I've seen pics of PUDDLZ wheeling, so I would appreciate his opinion.

ORE posted some pictures on the other site where they came off a ledge at Moab and side flopped into another rock face. It slammed the whole side of the Jeep and the only damage was a busted mirror and a little paint off of the fenders.

These things are awesome tuff. The are very pricey and shipping will be a lot, but there's nothing even close out there right now.

Kudos to Offroad Evolution. I just hope to be able to afford a set of these one day soon.

The red Optima jeep flopped in Moab, I saw it after the flop, and they seemed to really take it. The only damage I saw was the windshield frame was a little dented and the fenders were scratched.

I have yet to smash them up as bad as the OPTIMA JK ,

Take it back, Holly Molly racing (George) put his to a test @ TDS 2008 I heard @ 75MPH roll and most damage was to the stock body parts.

Some questions:
The rear quarters come with the lights, right?
Are the front and rears dependent on the sliders for structural strength?
Do these screw on, or rivet?
And... how did you know I just ripped up my left rear fender last weekend and had a tail light stolen the week before?
Are you guys psychic or something?
