·When I shift from 4H to 4L, I hit a "stop" as I believe is correct. In other words, just pull straight back and the lever hits the stop once I'm in 4H. To get to 4L, move the lever to the right (to get by the "stop") and pull back. All works well.
The question I have is whether there is supposed to be a stop when shifting from 4L back to 4H. From the shift pattern on the knob, it looks like I should just be able to push straight forward and would hit a "stop" when I was in 4H. Instead, if I push straight forward the lever will go all the way to 2H. This makes it difficult to differentiate between neutral and 4H. Can someone tell me whether they hit a stop in the 4L to 4H shift?
Dumb question, I know, but if there is supposed to be a stop it would make for much quicker and easier shifts and perhaps mine just needs adjusted.
Thanks!
