Well after the bushing on the t-case busted (I replaced it) and with the shifter back on I'm still having an issue shifting. It's now in 2hi and I can shift down to 4hi but the the cable goes slack like when the bushing was broken. I rechecked and it's on the bushing good and tight when it's in 4hi. I have to drop the skid to hand shift it back to 2hi if I shift it inside the car. Any ideas why it's still doing this? I don't think the shifter is out of allignment or the cable loosened off it's mounting tab. I was thinking about replacing it with the shifter from advanced adapters (for like $190) but it's not an option right now seeing as I just spent a lot on a winch and bumper and I definitely don't want the dealer to put the Chrysler shit back in if I do need to replace it. So any ideas on how to at least temporarily fix it so I can wheel my jeep again?
