I read something on this about a year ago. can't be done. as soon as someone hacks the code then all hell will break lose. haven't kept up with the subject since then, but if anyone will know Mofv.com/Mygig forum will.
I agree. For the life of me I don't understand why Jeep didn't source Garmin or the like for the GPS software in the Jeep. I just don't understand why a vehicle that is designed to reside off the beaten path only has the capability to locate itself while on the beaten path. I guess it boils down to dollars and cents.
yah, I never could understand that management decision either. The QNX code that they use will be hacked. some have already replaced the hard drive with a larger capacity and have been able to view the internals such as partitions but thats as far as they have gone. I see in the future the Topo abillity and also to turn it into satellite TV/video and even a keyboard and/or voice to text run to regular software like MS Office. BUT at least now we can at least follow the breadcrumbs back.
Iphone has an app that you can use that can download & store any Topo map. After downloading the particular map, you do not need cell service, wifi, etc, to utilize the maps. Some maps are dated pertaining to recent trail changes, but gives the correct elevations & trail map. Pretty cool beans.
hey everybody, I changed my head unit and I want to install a backup camera, already made the mount, now the "fun" part, the wiring, I removed the cover on the tailgate and I have a few wires there, I get there are 2 wires for the brake light, some wires to lock and unlock the tailgate but are...
I am removing the rear wiper & wiper motor off my back glass & want to completely remove the wiring that I am guessing is somewhere under the carpet? Or maybe it's in the hardtop?
I want to be ready to trace it all the way to the front to remove the whole line out of the Jeep.
Thanks in advance...
Hi ya'll, bought an RHB radio and some associated uconnect parts to replace the base model 2012 stock RES that stopped working. The seller was gracious enough to help out with the antitheft code, which made the process much easier. However, they did a hack job on the Uconnect and bluetooth mic...
This is starting to drive me crazy. Headlight randomly flicker and die only to work again hours or days later.
I was told this is common, and to disconnect and reconnect the battery. I did it and it worked fine for weeks. Then flicker and dead again.
What’s the real fix?
I'm looking for help wiring an on / off / on switch to control several spod switches, with the idea that one on toggles off the highbeams and the other on is just 'on'. Thus I can either control the lights on those switches off my highs (aka for night highway driving) or I can turn them on/off...
