Hopefully I will finally start my 2012 JK build within the next few days. The front D30 is being swapped out for a ProRock D44. My question is this. I will be doing all the work except re-gearing the rear axle and installing the ARB. Will I be able to drive my JK around with the stock factory gears in the rear axle (3.73) and the Prorock D44 with 4.88 (front driveshaft will not be installed until after rear axle is re-geared) for a few days or will the difference in the gearing cause the tone rings to somehow cause the computer to put the Jeep into limp mode? I was not able to find the info via search, so any assistance is appreciated.
