Well yet another reason why I want at least a front cage. Gonna order one next month. Thinking of going with the Poly.

Total loss?!?

It is somewhat unfortunate that the circumstance is forced upon you but, c'mon, other than a window frame and a hood, the thing looks fine.
Fix it.

No need to fix. All the control arms damaged beyond repair, both axels bent past repair, all windows but 1 shattered, insurance backed out and payed it off. A win win. Now I drive my dream RUBICON.

In short, I was out wheelin in AZ. I was on a cliff going higher on an obstacle that i have passed before and took a path to far to the right so I slipped off. Once a slipped off I just flopped (this is when I bailed.) The jeep was so close to the edge gravity took over. Over and over. Of coarse lessons were learned. My insurance company waved the accident due to it being my first and my insurance actually went down. unfortunately I could not buy it back because I had negative equity and GAP had to step in to pay this rest. Im happy with how it worked out.

I was only crawling in 4LO. My pride was the worst part of the experience.

The trail is 3 feathers just outside Tucson AZ. I was past 3 feathers going right near the waterfall.
On 3 feathers or at chiva falls?

Almost at the falls. Going right to go on top of the falls.
You weren't the only one to lose it on that hill, a couple years ago and old FJ rolled down that hill, top flew off and passengers were ejected, one passenger had fj laying on top of him, had to be life flighted out.

This was the story froma few years ago.

Hey guys I should have posted this earlier but never got around to it. Last Sunday a buddy and I did a quick run to chiva falls with our families. We planned to have a nice lunch at the falls and head back in time to catch the Superbowl. As we rounded the corner comming to the falls we were met by a hysterical guy who was bleeding and out of breath. He had just rolled his rig and one of his buddies was seriously injured and in shock.

There were three passengers in the FJ. They were wheeling alone and none of them were wearing SEATBELTS! As they made their way around the upper part of the loop right at the falls the mud gave way and over they went. One complete roll and the FJ ended up back on it's wheels. All three of them were thrown threw the roof. The rear passenger's head was crushed between the rollbar and a rock. When we arrived they had already called for a heli rescue. The rear passenger had lost alot of blood and was in and out. About ten minutes later Border Patrol and Sheriff search and rescue arrived via heli. They circled once and ended up landing about 1/8th of a mile up the trail and hiking in. They scooped him up and we all carried him out to the heli. The driver and front passenger were able to drive the FJ out without any problems.
Last we heard he was still in the ICU at UMC.

Our wives and kids were pretty shaken up about the whole incident and would get out of the Jeep at every obstacle on the way out. Needless to say they won't be making any trails with me any time soon.

Please be careful out there and wear your seatbelts! As you can see in the pictures, if they were belted in they all would have walked away with only scrapes and bruises. The driver was not a newb to the 4x4 scene. He said he has taken that line a hundred times with no problems at all. The ground was just a little to loose and wet that day.
