I installed a leveling kit in my "11 JKU. Kept stock shocks, running Rubi wheels and tires with 1.5" spacers, and beyond that it's mostly stock. All bolts have been checked and re-torqued. Please tell me I'm not crazy, but now it feels about 50% stiffer. It drives well, but i now feel every little crack and bump. Would the little bit of extra height extend the shocks beyond a their confort zone, or could the sway bars be subject to extra tension (new extended link installed in front)? Has anyone experienced this, and would some Bilsteins help soften things out?

The spacer version, right? Everywhere I've read said it kept a stock like ride. I have the same kit, but added 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers (E rating) at the same time so I don't know what the ride was like, but it's stiff as hell right now. Bilsteins are stiffer shocks than stock/Rubicon.

Couple of questions. Did you change tires and did you reuse the factory rubber isolator?

I couldnt tell any difference when I had mine (1 1/2 puck) installed except for it made the ass end wag a little when crossing bridge abutments and railroad tracks. Did you losen and retorque the arms on the ground?

Terreflex Leveling Kit = Stiffer Ride?

I kept the stock Rubi wheels as I had before, but installed the wheel spacers. I kept the stock isolators. I didn't touch the arms as they did not require loosening or adjustment to fit the lift spacers. I's got the tire pressure at 32 PSI where I had it before. I'll go check the tires again to see if the pressure crept up with the warmer summer temps. I noticed too that the rear end seems to wiggle a bit more now over some uneven surfaces. It's not a deal breaker, I just want to make sure nothing is ungodly wrong that will kill me.

Go through and loosen the upper and lower arm bolts on all 8 arms and then loosen the track bar bolts. Once everything is loose on the Jeep bounce the jeep around A LOT both up and down and side to side. Then tighten everything back down and torque it to spec. What is probably happening right now is the bushings are in a bind and everything is in a tensioned position. This can cause the stiffer ride as well as the weird driving.

Loosened and re-torqued all bolts and it worked. Ride is better now and almost back to stock. Thanks.
