I was looking around for a 35x10.5x17's, but the only one I could find were the Interco SSR's...and I doubt they're good on the street for very long. :shaking:
I ran SSR's on my XJ, you'd be surprised how well they ride on the street. And I was commuting 100+miles/day on em.

Thanks for the feedback and pics. I'm looking forward to getting rid of these dinky little donuts. My Jeep looks like a big block of billet aluminum rolling around on roller skate wheels. That's gotta change.

Depends on the application.
Sometimes you need to cut through to get good traction and get higher pounds per square inch on the contact patch. In other applications that can get you hung up.
Wider contact patch is better when you need flotation, wider grip area or just more physical rubber down to paddle through deep mud and snow.

Here's more pics as promised.

This tire is ideal for my purposes on this Jeep.

Yeah...I like it!
Thanks!!

The J8 military JK's have 255/80 R17's on them which really put me in this direction...
Exactly what I wanted... just a simple build with nothing fancy that can get me where I wanna go...

Anybody have the Cooper STMAXX 255/80 R17's ? How have they held up?
I've had them for around 8,000 miles (ST Maxx in that size). They've been on multiple off-road trips, where they did very well for an "AT" tire. They've held up great. Tread shows very little wear. They are starting to shows some minor cuts/chunking in the treads from the abuse I've put them through, but not bad at all.

I strongly considered the BFG MT KM2 in that size, but they were much more expensive, and since I use my Jeep in the road most of the time, I figured an AT would make more sense.
