I have installed a pair of LED tail lights, and they do NOT hyperflash. However, when I unlock, open or close any door, the rear right light flashes for half a second (only the rear right). Super weird. Kinda looks like the car is letting go of some electricity through the light, or even static (why would it flash when closing a door ?). I tried another brand of LED tail lights and they do the same. I tried to reground from directly the light harness, still happens. I tried different resistors, still happens.

Anyone has an idea of why this is happening ? Thanks ! I am slightly going insane.

Don't feel alone I installed LED Tail lights Marker and front Turn Signal on my 2008 JK and guess what I get a quick flash of tail lights same as you get......I have just ignored this strange quirk.....all lights seem to function perfectly otherwise.

I just began telling myself my '11 did this as a feature convenience around 2012 ...that sufficed until we all figured out the fact that the left & the right side of the jk/jku have their own respective harnesses ,running in parallel all the way to the tail lights. The LEDs permit a small errant voltage to be maintained in those wonderful stopgap ,antiflash modules we all use to retard the amps going to our fancy LEDs while leaving turn signals analog or the whole messy afair of the harness is converted to LEDs ...either way , lipstick on a pig sometimes yields unsought after side symptoms....getting an ls & replacing the god forsaken FCA wiring is the only true way of getting rid of the flashies when you slam the tailgate shut w your 400lb tire carrier & butt snorkel on it shut makes em go bonkers for .5 of second .....
