What is the easiest way to remove the stock fenders? Or more specifically the plastic piece attached underneath? Is it as easy as just yanking the 2 pieces part and I'm a complete moron for asking?

I've seen other guys do it by driving really close to a tree.:D
I was going to say my wife did it in Moab by squeezing it between the tire and a big rock  On the front there are three pieces to the fender, the inner, the outer and the support. If you undo what you can see (christmas trees, etc) and then grab and yank (or pry carefully) towards you the whole thing comes off. The support is then bolted on. This is of course from an old man's memory and taking them off a year ago.

The fender consists of three parts. The Inner fender-keeps mud from engine compartment. The middle fender-provides stiff platform for outer fender. And the outer fender-the part that you just ripped of on the tree.

I removed mine and made my own xenon style fenders. I'm still waiting on some nutserts? for the rears. It only has two holes with access to the backings.

You can see in this picture-the waffled section is the middle fender-underneath the outer fender. I trimmed the inner fender too much and left a small gap between the fender/door section. No big deal. Just doesn't look as good.
