Hi. Does anyone know how to remove the steering shaft from the steering column. I'd like to take a closer look at the bearings. I already have the steering column assymbly out of the jeep but I don't want to break it by taking it apart. Any thoughts? Here's a picture so you can see what I'm asking about. Thanks for any help in advance.

I figured it out. You can tap it out pretty easily. I used a punch on the front end (the end closest to the engine) and it slid out after a few solid hits.

Did you get steering column on a JK. did you get it back together?
