I recently bought skid plate for the oil pan and transmission. They are bare metal and I am wondering what kind of coating I should put on them.

Spray paint, Bed liner or Powder coat

Spray paint or bedliner , it's under the jeep and will get beat up so use whatever you want for touch up here and there

Whatever cost less unless you don't plan on wheeling it then powder coat. I buy a can of krylon flat black just about every time I wheel.

self-etching primer, then rustoleum hammered black. I used it on my Rugged Ridge front bumper since the stock powdercoat peeled off, and I expect the bumper to take a beating here in NY. Easy to touch up and looks good.
