The piece is designed and built to fit above the mirror. I don't think the case from spod will work right anywhere else. I think Rebel Offroad mounted all the spod parts under the steering column for a "2 spod build".
Oh I'm aware that its ment for up by the mirror was just wondering if any one got creative I'm thinking of mounting it somewhere on the dash may have to fab up a mount point or box or something

What is an oh shit meter? Would it be easier to move that?
you could probably mount it to the soundbar, on the dash (it looks to be wider than the recessed area in the middle of the dash though). The issue w/ mounting it anywhere other than on the dash / in the suggested location is that the wiring harness it comes with woudlnt' be long enough to reach anywhere else, so you'd have to cut into all of the wires to extend them.

I love my sPod but I'm going to be installing one of the Bussman relay/fuse panels next (not sure where I'll mount the switches). Should save a lot of money going that route.

They're not the same thing so I'm not sure making a cost comparison is fair.
I was talking with sPOD last night and they mentioned something that they are working on that is universal fit. You should give them a ring and ask for Cinde. Tell her I told you to call.

Eh I guess ill be finding a way to make a custom mount or location

Making a custom mount or putting the sPod in a different location should not be to hard. Yes you may have to extend the wires but you should be able to make a switch panel in a few different spots!

If your "Oh Shit" meter is a Clinometer, then just throw that thing away. They're beyond useless.

I'm in the process of fabricating an overhead console what will house sPod switches and air gauge. The only thing that won't be utilized will be the windshield frame mount.

I relocated my vacuum pump to under the hood where spod mounts unit under the hood. What are the other options for under the hood?
What about the Daystar A-pillar switch pod and transfering your switches from the spod mount to the a-pillar. Your losing 2 switches but it is an alternative.
