I just got my jk but the stock stereo is needing to be upgraded badly. Anyone have any luck on upgrading the speakers? I am also looking for a double DIN with gps capability to replace the stock unit.

I like that its a true 7" double din display, and the face is detachable.
I don't know about GPS stuff, but as far as how it connects to the iphone and all that, I think I can figure it out. Or I'll just keep using my phone.

Plus the price point is right. And I want to use JL components and possibly the JL stealthbox

But I haven't yet pulled the trigger, so I am also curious what other audiophiles have come up with.

I had JL tr components in mine at one point. I would recommend you buy a higher quality speaker than that.

I now run Focal kevlars (KRX2) and love them. Pricey but worth every cent.

Infinity Reference series here. Second Skin dampened the front pods and overhead. Running an aftermarket media only head unit. Everything is crossed over. Also running a Bazooka BTA6100 and the system sounds very good!

Can't beat this for a Jeep. All the features you want and you can secure the face. I love mine.

I upgraded my speakers with Kenwood Component speakers and am very happy. (added an amp and some bass as well)
