Yeah i checked that site out too... What i am wanting to do is design a slick ipad mini integration and i wanted to test out a couple ideas in CAD before i start buying and cutting dashes up...

Found the thread... however he has an older JK... I have a 2013 with the newly styled interior. From what i see as well he is doing a lot of modifications. I am wanting to stay a little more 'stock' looking having the ipad slid into and outof the stock dash.

There is a quick 'prototype drawing'. My idea is to cut a slot in the top of the stock dash piece, fit the Dark Grey 'track' piece to the back of the stock dash panel, and then the tray with the mini ipad in it will be able to slide in and out. I will have a shortened lightning connector with a male USB that can be plugged into the tray so it can easily be removed.

So if ANYONE has a CAD of the dash panel I would very much appreciate it!

Also, does anyone know of anyone who would have the ability to mold this out of plastic?
