I am seriously thinking about entering a Taekwondo competition this October. It is full contact sparring; including head shots. I have 5 months to train and since it is scheduled for October, I will fight as a Blue Belt.

So, here's my question: should I do it? Or not?

You already know my answer on this....but I will also give you some inspiration.

A few years back I had my knee surgery. I was cleared in January of the following year to return to training. The Pan American Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championship was at the beginning of April. I had 3 months to train and prep, cardio-wise, for the tournament....my first fight at brown belt.

I didn't win the gold, but I lost to the guy who did by a judges decision that was highly disputed.

The basics of it is....if you do it and don't win the gold, you did it. Period. We're proud of you. If you don't do it, you're always going to look back and say, "I wish I had at least competed."
