S2921 is Kalifornia's illustrious Senator's latest attempt to close off thousands of acres to motorized access in the California deserts.
Please take a moment to read up and sign the online petition. Those of you not in California, please write your Senator/s to express your ideas on this.

Just signed it. I also just posted the links on three of the Gold Prospecting forums I frequent. So the Gold Miners will start signing the petition as well.

Great idea! If more groups of diverse interests can work together, we may be able to stop this from happening. They managed to lock up millions of acres 20 years ago and are now after the rest.

Hey no problem Riggermike, the miners HATE this stuff too because we all understand what it's like when areas get closed down. It's happened to many times to to many places!

What I don't get about all this- why the hell is the state so fast to close areas off to recreational activities that don't really hurt the land that much then turn around and hand that same land out to solar power companies that build inefficient solar power plants on them! I can guarantee the scars they leave behind will be way worse that anything a 4WD or miner leaves behind. It makes no sense to me at all!

PS- If you see a name on there that has an affiliation with the "Sierra Club" this is most likely just the miners poking fun at them. Got the idea from another person who posted in this topic and I mentioned it in my post. :laughing2:
